The Rural North, Oundle and Thrapston plan is the first DPD to have been subjected to the examination process. It was found sound as per the Inspector's Report which was received on the 8 July 2009.
A final version of the Plan incorporating the Inspector's Modifications (8 July 2009), together with the Inspector's Report, was presented to the Planning Policy Committee on 27 July 2009:
The Planning Policy Committee raised a number of concerns with the Inspector's Report and it was decided at a subsequent meeting of the Committee (29 October 2009) that the Council should write to the Secretary of State to request a modification to the Rural North, Oundle and Thrapston Plan before its adoption. This letter was finalised and sent to the Government Office for the East Midlands (on behalf on the Secretary of State), on 18 March 2010.
