Rural North Oundle & Thrapston Plan - Initial Examination

Consultation - June - August 2008

Following consideration of the representations received through the earlier phases of consultation, a small number of minor and editorial changes were agreed by the Planning Policy Committee on 5 June 2008. In accordance with the legislation (The Town and Country (Local Development) (England) Regulations 2004) the Council undertook a further 6 weeks consultation about these proposed changes (known as the "Schedule of proposed changes to the Rural North, Oundle and Thrapston Plan (submitted January 2008)") which were put forward during the 11 January - 22 February consultation stage.

This consultation ran from Friday, 20 June 2008 until 5.30pm on Friday, 1 August 2008. The summary report has now been published outlining the key issues arising from the consultation (under "Regulation 33").

Pre Examination

Following the submission of the Schedule of Proposed Changes, a Pre-Examination Meeting (PEM) and Explorator Meeting were organised. These took place on Thursday 26 June 2008 in the Council Chamber, East Northamptonshire House, Cedar Drive, Thrapston, NN14 4LZ. Resulting from the Exploratory Meeting, Council officers agreed to provide disaggregated housing land supply data for the RNOTP area and Plan area housing trajectories. It was also agreed to provide further information about the implementation and delivery of housing (PPS3), and consistency with the adopted Core Strategy, particularly in terms of transport infrastructure. This work has now been completed and the relevant documentation is available to view:
