An update to the Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) for the District (a “Level 1” update) was completed by URS/ Scott Wilson in August 2011.  This recommended that certain sites, including Oundle Marina (RNOTP Policy 21) ought to be subject to more detailed site specific “Level 2” SFRA work.

Strategic Flood Risk Assessment

Since completion of the Level, the Council has been in discussions with the Environment Agency about the possibility of undertaking detailed Level 2 SFRA assessments for a number of sensitive locations.  The letter below and Level 1 SFRA update should be taken into account alongside the relevant RNOTP policies when considering specific development proposals.
