East Northamptonshire Council is inviting local residents to join a new panel where they can have their say on local service provision.

The Residents’ Panel is a joint venture between East Northamptonshire Council, Northamptonshire County Council, and Northamptonshire Borough Council. It’s an opportunity for local people, who have volunteered, to give their opinions on a range of issues and services affecting the local area.

Panel members agree to receive invitations to take part in various types of consultations which may be county or district based. The vast majority of these will be online surveys and questionnaires as this is the most cost effective way to find out opinions and has the best response rate. Anyone who doesn’t have access to the internet can still take part by using the computers in our customer service centres or in their local library. There’s no obligation to complete every survey. You can just complete the ones you feel you can contribute to.

Steven North, Leader of East Northamptonshire Council, says:

"The Residents’ Panel is a key element of our Consultation Strategy and helps us to evaluate the services we provide, identify opportunities for improving services in the future and understand local priorities. We hope that people from all walks of life will sign up to help shape services in the district and county."

Anyone can join as long as you’re 16 or over and live in Northamptonshire. And you don’t need prior knowledge or understanding of the way services are run.

To join, go to our Residents' Panel page or for more information, contact the Corporate Support Manager on 01832 742203 or by email.
