Work with people who share your vision and most importantly, focus on your customer

These are the words of Lord Alan Sugar and just like The Apprentice guru, we think they sum up why you should apply to be a business admin apprentice at East Northamptonshire Council.

We've got three posts available so step into our boardroom and tell us why you should be our next apprentice.

As a business administration apprentice, you'll play an important support role in Human Resources, Policy or Democratic and Electoral Services and you'll earn whilst you learn.

You'll work with council staff to handle various tasks including typing up documents, putting information together in spreadsheets, sorting the daily post, filing documents, answering phones. It's the sort of work that requires a strong sense of responsibility, accuracy and attention to detail. And everything you do will also count towards a nationally recognised qualification.

Leader of East Northamptonshire Council, Steven North, says: "This is a great opportunity for three apprentices to get their feet on the employment ladder and help to serve our residents and businesses.

"We promise to show you the ropes and give you lots of practical opportunities to learn and gain experience. In return you will help us to deliver vital services that support our communities."

One of the great things about business administration is that you will develop transferable skills which you can take with you anywhere. These three roles are great for hard working and keen individuals who want to learn on the job, while getting a qualification.
