Explaining the 'Your vote matters' letter

The way you register to vote is changing and you may have received a letter about what that means. Some residents are confused by the letter and for that we apologise.

It’s a standard letter which all authorities are required to send out.  To help you fully understand the letter, we’ve provided an explanation of each paragraph which we hope makes it clearer.
