Gambling Act 2005 Policy Statement 2019-2022 Consultation

In accordance with its three yearly review period the Gambling Act 2005 Policy Statement has been reviewed and is now open to consultation on behalf of all partners of the Northants Licensing Partnership:

The Gambling Act 2005 makes it a duty for a local authority to carry out its functions under the Act with a view to promoting the three licensing objectives:

  • Preventing gambling from being a source of crime or disorder, being associated with crime or disorder or being used to support crime
  • Ensuring that gambling is conducted in a fair and open way, and
  • Protecting children and other vulnerable persons from being harmed or exploited by gambling

The purpose of the Policy Statement is to detail how the partner authorities of the Northants Licensing Partnership will comply with that duty.
