Local Plan and the National Planning Policy Framework Compatibility Self Assessment Checklist
Due to the recent changes to national planning policy and the publication of the National Planning Policy Framework (March 2012), the compatibility of the Council's adopted Local Plan, the Rural North, Oundle and Thrapston (RNOT) Plan has been assessed against the National Planning Policy Framework.
As a basis for the assessment, the Council has used the Planning Advisory Service's Compatibility Self Assessment Checklist to carry out the assessment. The PAS Compatibility toolkit assessment concluded that the RNOT Plan is in general conformity with the National Planning Policy Framework. Therefore the Rural North, Oundle and Thrapston Plan should continue to be given full weight following the end of the Governments transition period, after April 2013.
