Local Development Scheme
The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 requires the District Council to produce and maintain a Local Development Scheme (LDS), the statutory project plan/ timetable for the preparation of the Local Plan Part 2. It is necessary to review the LDS regularly in order to keep this project plan and timetable up to date.
The latest update to the LDS was agreed by the Planning Policy Committee on 21st September 2020 (Agenda Item 5). The revised LDS is attached here.
A summary timetable is set out below:

| 7 | Submission of Local Plan to Secretary of State (Regulation 22) | March 2021 |
| 8 | Local Plan Examination in Public (Regulation 24) | Late Summer 2021 |
| 9 | Public Consultation on Main Modifications | Late 2021 |
| 10 | Receipt of Planning Inspector's Report (Regulation 25) | Winter 2021/22 |
| 11 | Adoption of Local Plan (Regulation 26) | Early 2022 |
Future updates to the Local Plan Part 2 are likely to be agreed by the new North Northamptonshire Council following inception date (1 April 2021).
