Local Land Charges search

What is a Local Land Charges search?

A Local Land Charges search is usually carried out by a solicitor acting on behalf of someone buying or selling land or property.  The search is a series of standard questions designed to give any potential buyer or seller as much information as possible about the land or property.

Buyers or sellers can also ask the council for information not covered by the standard questions.  We hold information on issues such as planning, building control and environmental health as well as policy information such as the local plan.

Our current turnaround time for all search applications is 15-20 working days from date of receipt if completed correctly.  We will contact you if there are any issues.
