ENC Chairman’s Champions Awards

Cllr Helen Howell, in her role as Chairman of East Northamptonshire Council, launched an awards scheme in August 2020 to celebrate the local people, groups and organisations across the district who have gone above and beyond in their local communities.

Nominations closed in December 2020 and the recipients have now been decided for each category.

1st Raunds Scout Group

The leaders carried on with Zoom meetings for all young people when they were unable to meet face to face. Organised a Camp at Home weekend, including cook-alongs and delivery of a whole activity pack for each child.

East Northants First Responders

A group of volunteers who support the emergency services by completing the essential patient assessment and begin treatment in emergency calls.

Raunds and Thrapston Area Volunteers

Volunteers who are able to assist the more vulnerable in Raunds, Thrapston and surrounding areas during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Support@Titchmarsh

A small team of 5 individuals who did amazing work in Titchmarsh during lockdown, including picking up prescriptions, organising shopping deliveries and supporting those who were self isolating.
