Health and safety at work

We undertake inspections of workplaces to help them to comply with health and safety legislation, investigate accidents and respond to complaints about workplaces. We also provide information to businesses and members of the public to increase general awareness of health and safety. 

We are responsible for warehouses, residential care homes, shops, tyre fitters and leisure facilities.  The Health and Safety Executive are responsible for factories, motor vehicle repair and hospitals.

The Health and Safety Executive is an excellent source of information and includes example policies, risk assessments and topic based information.
