On Thursday 6 May 2021 residents in North Northamptonshire will be able to vote for councillors to serve on the new council. North Northamptonshire Council will take over all responsibilities formerly held by Corby Borough Council, East Northamptonshire Council, Kettering Borough Council, Borough Council of Wellingborough and Northamptonshire County Council.
A total of 78 councillors will be elected to the new council, which will replace the existing borough, district and county councils across the four areas on 1 April 2021.
Three seats in each of the following 26 wards will be up for election in the new North Northamptonshire Council area:

On polling day, residents will also be able to cast votes for the Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner and to elect representatives for many of their local town and parish councils, including the first elections to new town councils for Corby, Kettering, and Wellingborough.
There will also be Neighbourhood Planning Referendums held in Ecton and Gretton.
Work is underway to ensure that residents can cast their votes safely during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, with a range of Covid-secure measures being planned to support electors, candidates and staff.

The Returning Officer for the North Northamptonshire election is Rob Bridge, Chief Executive of the new North Northamptonshire Council. Rob Bridge is also the Police Area Returning Officer for the whole of Northamptonshire.
Polling and counting arrangements are being organised by North Northamptonshire Council, however correspondence may come from satellite offices in Corby, East Northamptonshire, Kettering and Wellingborough throughout the process.
