Licence - Hackney Carriage (Taxi)
Hackney Carriage means that the taxi can stop and pick up customers on the street and does not have to have a pre-booked fare, although it can also take bookings. A person holding a Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence can act as a Hackney Carriage Proprietor (see terms and conditions). There are a number of Terms and Conditions for Hackney Carriages and Hackney Carriage Byelaws set by East Northamptonshire Council.
