Travel Tokens 2010
National Travel Tokens can be used on local taxis, bus services, and trains, some community bus services such as Serve and the Nene and Ouse community transport.
Travel tokens are extremely popular with those who are physically unable to travel by bus and, or live in more rural areas.
The travel tokens cost £10 and the amount is £48 provided the tokens are bought before 30 June 2010. The cost and the amounts then reduce over the remaining quarters throughout the year, as follows:-
July/Sept 2010 £36.00 for £7.50
Oct/Dec 2010 £24.00 for £5.00
Jan/Feb 2011 £12.00 for £2.50
Some parish councils add to the amount of tokens issued.
Local taxi operators can bring travel tokens into the council offices at Thrapston for reimbursement. This facility is available on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings between 9.00am and 12.00pm.
