Information about councillors
There are 40 members of the council representing 22 wards in the district. Council elections are held every four years for the whole council. The last election was held on 5 May 2011 and the next election will be held in May 2015.
Leader of the Council
The Leader of the Council is Cllr Steven North and the Deputy Leader is Cllr Glenn Harwood MBE.
Chairman of the Council
Cllr Pam Whiting is Chairman of the Council with Cllr Gill Mercer as the Vice-Chairman. The Chairman's Diary is available online so you can see the events she will be attending.
