Rushden High Street Improvements
Rushden High Street

Rushden High Street is undergoing the final touches in the run-up to completion of the improvement works, with the installation of the street furniture and planters.
Then the whole street will get a final clean to ensure it is spick and span in time for the Christmas trading period.
Cllr Steven North, leader of East Northamptonshire Council, said:
"Its great to see this phase of the works on Rushden High Street drawing to a close on time and on budget. The street is looking really smart, and a number of new businesses have already opened. The planned Christmas trading events should also encourage people to come and see what their local High Street has to offer."
The funding for the project includes just over £1 million from East Northamptonshire Councils reserves. It also includes an award of just over £730,000 of government Growth Funding to East Northamptonshire Council, which has come through North Northants Development Company (NNDC) in conjunction with Northamptonshire County Council and Northamptonshire Enterprise Limited.
