Economic Development

The East Northamptonshire Economic Development Team works closely with the business community and offers a wide range of support and services to anyone with an interest in the local economy of the area, ranging from local businesses to potential investors, to business support agencies.

 We are here to:

• Help people starting up or developing businesses.
• Help businesses thinking of moving into the area.
• Work with partners to help businesses develop skills and employment opportunities.
• Work with local and regional businesses and industry-related organisations.

We are actively involved in:

• Business growth and inward investment - working with partners, we provide help and information for businesses wanting to expand or re-locate in East Northamptonshire.
• Employment and skills assistance - we work with learning establishments to promote lifelong learning and up-skilling to help deliver a skilled workforce.
• Supporting the activities of various public, private and voluntary sector partnerships in providing ongoing support to local businesses.
• Business events and exhibitions.
• Providing financial assistance - the council currently offers a Business Development grant for new and existing businesses.
• Providing information on sites and premises.

Colleagues from across the council can assist with issues ranging from business rate relief, environmental health, waste management and much more.
