Commercial Health is responsible for food safety within food businesses such as takeaways, public houses and factories. We are responsible for health and safety in warehouses, shops and offices, as part of this we also investigate reportable accidents. We deal with issues relating to infectious diseases, commercial pollution and drainage. We also actively support health promotion activities such as smoke free homes, the Heartbeat Award and youth discos.
The team also deals with Taxi licensing, alcohol, entertainment, tattooing, animal and other types of licensing. We also operate the Central Administration Unit for licensing on behalf of the County where you can apply for all licences apart from Taxis at Northants Licensing Partnership.
