Annual Monitoring Report and District Profile
Monitoring is an important part of the planning process and plays a critical part in identifying changing situations that may trigger a review of policies. We prepare an Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) in order to assess the extent to which policy objectives are being achieved.
In 2005, as part of the Local Development Framework (LDF), East Northamptonshire Council produced its first AMR. In this year and the following to 2008, the Reports focused on the Saved Local Plan Policies from the Adopted 1996 Local Plan. Future reports will assess policies contained in the Core Spatial Strategy and the emerging Development Plan Documents which form part of the LDF. This will be co-ordinated by the North Northamptonshire Joint Planning Unit with input from each of the District Councils.
It is a requirement that the AMR be submitted to the Secretary of State by the end of December each year, at which point the report is published on our website. The reports for the years 2004-05 to 2007-08 are available to view by clicking on the link below:
The 2008-09 AMR is the first joint AMR prepared for the North Northamptonshire Joint Planning Committee and the constituent local planning authorities of Corby, East Northamptonshire, Kettering and Wellingborough. It is a technical document prepared by the Joint Planning Unit (JPU) and officers of the constituent authorities. It covers the monitoring year 2008/9 and is the starting point for monitoring the implementation of the North Northamptonshire Core Spatial Strategy (NNCSS), adopted in June 2008, this can be viewed by clicking on the link below:
